You Can’t Fix What You Don’t Name.

One of the most powerful steps toward healing is simply this: naming the problem.

It may seem obvious, but how many of us live for years dancing around what’s really wrong and calling it “stress” when it’s burnout, “just tired” when it’s depression, or blaming others when it’s really our own issues that are running the show?

When we don’t name it, we can’t address it. We stay stuck. We waste energy fixing symptoms while the root continues to grow downward. Naming our problems turns the light on in the room. It gives us the power to choose what to do next, whether that’s asking for help or simply admitting, “This is hard.”

It is only when we name it that we face it—and only when we face it can we start to change it.

Today, try asking yourself: What’s the real problem? Where does this behavior truly derive from? Call your core wounds by their names— you might be surprised by the clarity that follows.
